About Tajikistan

Tajikistan is a country lying in the state of Central Asia. The capital of Tajikistan is Dushanbe, and it is the largest city of Tajikistan. The borders of Tajikistan are surrounded by Afghanistan to the south, Xinjiang in China to the east, Kyrgyzstan to the north, and Uzbekistan to the west and northwest. Tajikistan is a happening place. There are numerous things to do, the Silk Road mystique of places like Khujand and Istaravshan, and the glamourous untouched mountain scenery of the Pamirs and their accompanying attractive unclimbed peaks and virgin trekking routes. Tajikistan is a safe country, but some factional fighting spilling over from nearby Afghanistan prevails in Tajikistan.

The climate condition of Tajikistan is hot summers, mild winters, semiarid to polar in the Pamir Mountains. The average temperature is 23 to 30 degrees Celsius in summers and -1 to 3 degrees Celsius in winters. The official language of Tajikistan is Tajiki. People also speak Uzbek and Russian. Eligibility criteria for studying MBBS in Tajikistan

Students from India must fulfill the below-mentioned criteria to apply for MBBS in Tajikistan.

  • Academic Qualification- The students can apply based on either Class XIIth marks. The student must have NEET scorecard as per the current guidelines.
  • 12th Class-Eligibility- The student must have passed Class XIIth with PCMB (Physics, Chemistry, Maths & Biology) as the main subject. The student must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks at XIIth level for Open or General Category. For the reserved category, the student needs to achieve a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate.
    The student must have studied English as the main subject.
  • Age Criteria- The applicant should not be less than 17 years of age as of December 31st in the year of admission.
  • Total Cost of MBBS in Tajikistan- The cost of tuition fee varies from University to University. However, on average, students will have to pay approximately 20-25 lakhs to pursue MBBS in Tajikistan. This cost includes hostel and mess fees that make it very reasonable compared to other places.

Life After Completing MBBS from Tajikistan

After pursuing MBBS from Tajikistan, students can go to their respective countries and apply for the qualifying exams to practice medicine in their country. Practice In India

As per the Medical Council of India (MCI), every student has to undergo a screening test conducted by MCI to either do an internship or practice in India. The screening test conducted by the Medical Council of India is also known as Foreign Medical Graduates Examination. It is a compulsory test conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) and is mandatory for all students to attempt this test if they want to practice in India. This examination or screening test is applicable for all the students who have completed their MBBS from any other country than India. The student should also keep in mind that MCI must recognize the college from where the MBBS degree has been awarded.
