About North Kazakhstan State University

Manash Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University is one of the oldest educational institutions in the Republic of Kazakhstan with 83 years of its existence. It is popularly known as North Kazakhstan State University (NKSU). The University was formed by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan on June 2, 1994. It is located in the urban setting of the small city of Petropavlovsk. It is a non-profit higher education University that provides quality education in multiple streams. NKSU was given the status of state university by the Republic of Kazakhstan on January 31, 2001. The university was named after Academician Manash Kozybayev in the year 2003.

The University is licensed by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It is a medium sized coeducational institution. It offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria for taking admission

Students from India who wish to apply for MBBS at KNorth Kazakhstan State University must meet the minimum educational qualifications and general criteria which are mentioned below:


  • The student must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects in 12th standard if the applicant belongs to the general category. The open category students must also have a minimum of 45% aggregate in PCB subjects.
  • The student must have passed the 12th class examination for reserved category students with 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • The applicant must have studied English as one of the subjects in 12th class and must have completed 12th from a regular and recognised board.
  • NEET exam is mandatory for all students as per the latest guidelines issued in 2018 for doing MBBS from any international country. NEET score is valid for 3 years
  • The student must be minimum of 17 years of age on or before 31st December in the year of admission
