About University

Yerevan Haybusak University was founded in 1991 by academician Levon Harutyunyan. Initially, it started with three faculties but now there are multiple faculties offering courses at undergraduate, post-graduate level and doctorate level. It is the biggest non-state educational institution which provides study programs in higher and vocational professional education. The University is located in the capital city of Yerevan.

The college got state accreditation in 2001. The university is popular not only in Armenia but also in many international countries because of its relation with cultural-educational organizations. The classes are conducted in three languages- Russian, Armenian, and English. There are around 70,000 students who have been part of this prestigious university. It has been ranked 20th out of 50 colleges in Armenia.

Eligibility Criteria for taking admission at Yerevan Haybusak University

The admission to Yerevan Haybusak University is possible only when students fulfill the following eligibility criteria.


  • The students must have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31st on the year of admission to the MBBS course. The maximum age to apply for an MBBS program is 25 years.
  • The students must have a valid NEET scorecard in order to study MBBS anywhere in the world.
  • The applicants must have completed XIIth examination from a recognized board. The students must have scored a minimum of 50% in aggregate.
  • The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology which is popularly known as PCB in India as a subject in their 10+2
Hostel Facilities at Yerevan Haybusak University

  • The hostel facilities are available for all the students specially foreign students who want to stay near the campus as the hostel is located around 4-5 kms away from the campus.
  • The hostel is available on a sharing basis for 2-3 students with all the basic facilities.
  • The hostel rooms are equipped with modern amenities like air conditioning, refrigerators, good lighting condition, beds, chairs, tables, etc.
  • The hostel also has a common area and reading rooms for group discussions and practical experiences.

Opportunities after doing MBBS from Yerevan Haybusak University
  • As the University is recognised by the medical council, students can come back to India and practice medicine after qualifying the screening test conducted by MCI. Screening test is mandatory for all students who complete their MBBS/MD from abroad.
  • The students can also practice in other countries like the USA after qualifying the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE)
  • Students can also apply for government jobs in India once they are registered with the medical council.
  • The facility of internship can be availed at any private or government colleges for a duration of one year after qualifying the screening test conducted by MCI.
